Reports suggest that Asim was working out in his gym within the farmhouse, with a security guard on alert. He took the guard’s pistol and tragically shot himself in the chest.

According to Mian Channu Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mohammad Saleem, Asim was rushed to the Talamba Rural Health Centre, where he was pronounced dead. His body is being taken to the family’s home from the health center.
The Punjab police spokesperson stated that the cause of death appeared to be a gunshot. Regional Police Officer Sohail Chaudhry mentioned that Asim shot himself in the chest in the gymnasium at his home, as per the family’s account. CCTV footage supports this claim, and it is being sent for forensic analysis.
RPO Sohail also revealed that Asim had been battling mental illness and was taking medication for it. Asim was previously married but divorced his wife two years ago, had no children, and was struggling with mental health issues.
Maulana Tariq Jamil had established Al-Hussain School in Tulamba, managed by Asim’s wife, who also served as the school’s principal. Notably, Asim had not completed his matriculation or received any religious education.
Punjab IG Police Dr. Usman Anwar has taken notice of the incident and called for a detailed report. He emphasized the importance of determining the cause of death based on evidence and forensic analysis.
