The federal government has declared November 9th as a public holiday in honor of Iqbal Day.
The Cabinet Division declared earlier today that Allama Iqbal Day will be marked as a national holiday throughout the country.
The announcement has put an end to any debate about the holiday commemorating Iqbal Day. It should be mentioned that in 2015, the public holiday was canceled.
However, the administration chose to revive it last year. Furthermore, the Iqbal Day holiday was previously established in the official list of public holidays for the year 2023, which was issued in December of last year.
